It was nice to get away from our quarantined houses and escape to St. Augustine, FL for the 2020 FSOMS Summer meeting.
| We held the required courses of ACLS, BLS, PALS and Airways and Office Emergencies to about 30+ members. The hotel did an amazing job keeping all of us safe and helped us practice social distancing by putting one member at a 6ft. table, requiring all guests to wear masks indoors and cleaning, cleaning and cleaning. |  |
On Friday afternoon we held our Board meeting and hosted a panel discussion about COVID and how OMS practices are being affected. Many members shared positive ideas that been developed to help practices and staff. We welcomed new members to the FSOMS: Derek King, DMD, Boyton Beach, FL; Steven Mantegari, DDS, MD, Jacksonville, FL; Marek Ogeldzki, DMD, MD, Orange Park, FL; and Fred Predoletti, DMD, Miami, FL.

On Saturday afternoon Dr. Andrew Herlich conducted his session via Zoom on “Airway Management After Medical Emergencies and COVID-19 Updates.” For those that attended the meeting Dr. Herlich’s slides will be available on the FSOMS website with a special passcode for access.
